Back Cracks and Pops

Is a back that cracks frequently, without pain, some of my friends say this could be a sign of furture problems. Is this true?

Back “cracking”, other wise known as joint cavitation, can happen on it’s own as a normal physiologic process. However, forcing your back to pop with pushing, pulling, twisting, or jerking your spine or neck is not healthy. This can lead to a ligament laxity and hypermobility (increased motion of a spine segment) which can predispose your spine to injury.

You know the old phrase, “Don’t try this at home, we are trained professionals.”? This is definitely true when it comes to “cracking” your back.
